Born and raised in Glendale, Arizona, I grew up as the only girl in a household—and on a street—full of boys. This environment likely explains why I was always found with a pencil or marker in my hand; art was my own world. That passion only deepened in school, fueled by teachers who showcased my work and pushed me to exceed my own expectations.

After high school, I explored various paths, but none felt right. I knew I was meant to share my art. When financial aid for art school fell through, I pivoted toward tattooing, mentored by a local artist. The transition wasn't easy; at the time, many shops wouldn't even look at a female artist’s portfolio. I was told I’d never make it and should quit. But if you know me, you know that being told "no" only makes me work harder to prove I can.

I spent years working my way up through small shops, perfecting my technique and learning from every artist I met. I worked long hours not just to master the craft, but to show my sons that greatness is built on hard work and consistency. In 2016, that dedication paid off when I won my first "Best of the Day" award at a Texas convention, with my partner, Rob Forrer, by my side.

Rob has been my mentor, my partner, and my greatest support. Together, we’ve won numerous awards and seen our art—on both skin and canvas—gain a following we never imagined. I am deeply grateful to my clients and my community for allowing me to do what I love.

The most meaningful part of my work today is gifting free cosmetic areola tattoos to cancer survivors. Having lost my mother to cancer in 2019, I understand the weight of their journey. There is no feeling quite like watching a woman see herself in the mirror and reclaim a piece of what she lost. It is an empowering moment that I know would make my mother proud.

After a crazy roller coaster journey in the industry, my husnand and I opened our own shop: Articulate Gallery in 2021. My mission is to create timeless art that lives on. Whether I am working on a live canvas or a still one, I promise to bring your masterpiece to life with grace, skill, and heart.
