I was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona. I am the only girl in a family full of brothers. To top it off, I was the only girl on our street. Which is probably why from the time I was little, you would catch with me either a  pencil or marker in my hand. Once I started school, My love for art grew! My art teachers always kept my work to share as examples for the next year, which drove me to want to do even better on the next project. After graduating at Sandra Day O’Connor High School, I tried different occupations but was never satisfied. I knew I was meant to share my art.

I wasn’t able to get financial aid for art school

so when I met a young tattoo artist who said he’d show me the ropes, I was in! From that moment on, I was hooked the craft. It was very difficult finding a shop that would apprentice female artist at the time. Most shops would not even look through my drawing portfolio. Without being given even a glance at my work,  I was told I would never make it in this industry and to quit now. If you know me, then you know I’m the type of person that will work even harder to prove to myself and to you that I can and I will do anything I set my mind to.

Fast forward a couple years, and I did just that. I started my career at a small shops and continued to work my way through the industry, learning from different artists, continuing to perfect my technique and remained open minded along the way. I worked long hours almost everyday, to better my craft and teach my sons that greatness comes from hard work. There were times I was working for next to nothing but I knew I had to be consistent and constantly push myself harder to reach my goals.

In 2016, I was invited to a Tattoo Convention in Texas. I won my first Best of the Day Award. My partner, Rob Forrer was right by my side- just like he is today. I knew then we were going to do incredible things together.

Rob has been my mentor, my friend, my other half and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. We have continued to do conventions together and we have continued to win awards. Our art, both tattoo and canvas art has gained popularity throughout the years and we feel very fortunate that we we get to do what we love and share it with our amazing clients.

I am beyond grateful to be practicing what I love and make a living while doing so.

I am forever grateful to my clients,  our community, my hometown, and all the support given to us by so many. As a thank you for the love shown to us, I have been gifting cancer survivors free cosmetic areola tattoos. I know firsthand what these incredible clients have to endure. My mother unfortunately fought and lost her battle with cancer in December of 2019. No one will ever understand what it is like to be part of giving a woman back a part of herself. After completion the areola tattoo, I have the privilege of seeing these beautiful clients react to their own reflection in the mirror. It is such an empowering moment to share with them. I know my mom would be proud.

My ten year journey in the industry has been a roller coaster of incredible events and life changing moments. I have instilled an appreciate for art, work ethics, and perseverance in my sons and I couldn’t be proud of where I am in my life.

I am often asked by friends and clients how I manage to juggle everything in my life. To me, it’s simple. Decide what is important to you. Then everyday, stay organized, stay focused, give yourself grace, and never take your eyes off your goals. My love for my family and my art work is what drives me to find my inner strength.

We are thrilled to announce that 2021 is the year that so many have been waiting for. We are proudly announcing that we are opening our own shop, Articulate Gallery! We will be sharing our love for tattoo and art with all of you. I know I was meant to create timeless art that lives on even after I am gone. My promise to myself and my clients is that I will persevere, I will continue to sharpen my skills, I will navigate through life’s stressors with grace and I will make amazing art whether its on a live canvas or on a still canvas. We are here to bring your masterpiece to life.

Thank you to everyone who has had a part in creating this moment for us. We are looking forward to continuing to provide one of a kind art for you. Thank you for your continued support.
